Here is just a small selection of the many "success stories" that we see here at LedermanVision. The case studies clearly show that Optometric Vision therapy works and that 6/6 (20/20) is NOT enough. And no, this is not a case of only showing the ones that worked out well. There are plenty more!

At LedermanVision, we see successes like this every week of the year. Our carefully chosen and highly-trained staff increase the likelihood of a successful outcome to your treatment program.

Convergence Insufficiency successfully treated through optometric vision therapy

People are often told that they can't use their eyes together because they have weak muscles. But watch this video carefully and see how each eye can, independantly, turn in towards the nose (adduct), but not together. The muscles work just fine. You can see that the problem is not weak muscles, as people are often told. The problem is eye coordination. This can be taught. Look at the next video for the post-treatment clip.

Here, as a result of Optomeric Vision Therapy, this young lady has learned to use both eyes together. This will stay with her as long as she sticks to simple rules of visual hygeine. Please note that pencil push-ups (pushing a pencil towards the nose slowly) was never part of the treatment. A randomized, clinically controlled double blind study (CITT) has shown that pencil push-ups are not more effective than placebo treatment. Using two eyes together well is essential when you are trying to read, or play sports which involve a fast moving ball.

Strabimus (squint) cured with vision therapy

This 13 year old had been told that there was nothing to do for his left eye-turn (strabismus) or for his lazy eye (amblyopia). With a contact lens fitted on his left eye, he started to improve his visual situation through Optometric Vision Therapy. See the improvement for yourself in the next video.

One year later, this young man enjoyed wonderful stereovision, and was in control of his eye. A real success!

Optometric Vision therapy is ALSO for adults.

Here, at LedermanVision, we help many adults improve their quality of life. Optometric vision therapy helps people improve their ability to get more information, more rapidly to their brain through their visual system. They feel this change in many aspects of their life e.g. increased reading speed, better concentration, less tiredness, increased awareness and less motion sickness. We also work with victims of stroke and head injury in their visual rehabilitation leading to an improvement in their quality of life.

This gentleman was having difficulty maintaining single vision whilst reading and started vision therapy age 101 yrs old. Here you can see him in therapy. Immediately on finishing his therapy program, he started to write his autobiography.
